Modbury Hospital – MHP and Multi-storey Carpark

IGP was engaged under a Design and Construct Arrangement to provide piled retaining and foundation solutions for the new mental heath facility and multi-storey car park. The project required both bored and CFA techniques to be used in challenging ground conditions comprising high strength rock (over 40MPa in places). Due to these complexities IGP undertook additional testing and re-design in order to reduce project costs and delivery timeframes. Over 400 bored piers and CFA piles, 600 to 750mm diameter were installed successfully, with complimentary static load testing, integrity testing and laboratory strength testing of rock samples.
